21 papers had been submitted for the International Convention: Bridging the Old&New – Towards Future Sustainable Built Environment that was held from 5-7th November 2012 at Building 12, Faculty of Built Environment, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Being KALAM’s second time of organizing an international convention, it had received participation from New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia as well as Malaysia. Students, academicians and practitioners of local and international background, had gathered for two days of seminar and a one day architectural trip to Glulam Gallery and Leisure Farm, Gelang Patah.

Three keynote speakers had been invited to this event. They were Prof. Dr.Amer Rghei from American University, Dubai, UAE, Prof. Jason Pomeroy of Pomeroy Studio, Singapore and Ar.Laurence Loh, of Arkitek LLA, Malaysia. Their sharing of experience and knowledge were very clear and enticing.
These three days were very eventful and memorable.
